Natural Dog Food Recipes
Dogs, like humans are omnivorous and need a balance of protein, grains, and some vegetables.
Many pet owners already know that they must not feed their dogs packaged food and that it is harmful even if they feed their dogs with table scraps. - Doggy Casserole: Stir together the cooked rice, chicken broth, boiled vegetables and boiled poultry and serve at room temperature. You must store unused portions in a covered container in the refrigerator and discard the remains if not consumed within three days.
- Lamb and Rice: Brown ground lamb and add cooked brown or white rice, broccoli or kelp, diced carrots and cover. Cook for 15 minutes. Let it cool before feeding it to your dog.
- Rolled Oats and Yogurt Meal: Soak some rolled oats overnight and then mix plain yogurt and vegetables along with honey and apple cider vinegar and feed it to your dog.
- Chicken Delight: Boil chicken and discard the bones. Meanwhile prepare brown rice by boiling water and cooking for 20 minutes. Add steamed vegetables and add liquid dog vitamins in the recommended proportions.
A proper, well balanced natural dog food diet will keep your pet healthy and also protect you from the expense of frequent visits to the vet. But always keep in mind that any dietary changes should be introduced slowly to avoid digestive upsets. Dogs that eat all natural dog foods have a higher life expectancy and better quality of life.
