If you have any medical conditions or suffer from asthma you might want to avoid breeds that have long hair and a thick coat. Dog such as the St. Bernard and Collie shed most of the year. If you have children in the house it is advisable to avoid the more aggressive breed such as Pit bulls, Chowchows and Rottweilers. It is important for you to invest some time to train the dog as well as child to treat one another appropriately.
