Wet Foods for Feline

Most cat owners prefer natural and organic cat food because it does not contain ingredients that may be harmful for your pet.



Natural cat food is prepared using natural preservatives like vitamin C and vitamin E and it does not contain artificial coloring, synthetic additives and preservatives. It is thus important to consider your cat’s health requirements while choosing the right cat food. You can choose between several kinds of cat food in addition to natural and organic cat food.

While dry cat food contains about 8-10% of moisture, wet cat food contains 75-78% of moisture. This is in fact an important advantage that wet cat food has over dry cat food. The higher water content of wet cat food ensures that your cat has significantly higher water consumption when compared to a dry cat food diet. An increase in water consumption is an important aspect of the health benefits your cat derives from his/her diet. In addition, the best wet cat food contains very little grain and carbohydrates.

The best wet cat food is that which is not only suited to your cat’s health needs but provides adequate protein and nourishment. Moreover, canned food is also known to alleviate symptoms of many disorders. For instance, canned foods are believed to be beneficial in the treatment of diabetes, urinary tract disorders, constipation and even chronic renal failure. Wet cat food not only helps treat the symptoms of these disorders but helps prevent their occurrence as well. Fish is a primary ingredient in most wet cat foods and makes such a diet both appetizing and healthy for your cat.
